Tactical Rifle Training — Ohio Carbine Courses
This one-day, beginner-friendly Rifle Essentials training course in Ohio is designed for students with little or no rifle experience who want to build a solid foundation in safe rifle handling. The class emphasizes rifle safety, fundamentals, and proper management of modern semi-automatic platforms — including AR-style, AK variants, and FN/SCAR-type designs. Students develop core skills for recreational shooting, home defense, and progression into advanced rifle training. Practical drills, fundamentals-driven coaching, and range time give students the competence and confidence to train safely and effectively.
Rifle Essentials provides instruction in the safe management and operation of semi-automatic tactical rifles, building competence in handling, accuracy, and equipment setup. Through classroom learning and live-fire range drills, students will develop a strong foundation in marksmanship and rifle handling skills. By the end of the course, participants will be able to safely operate their rifle with confidence in both range and defensive settings.

Course Requirements
Students must demonstrate safe weapon handling at all times and show understanding of all drills and fundamentals. By the conclusion of training, participants will be able to safely load, operate, and fire their rifle accurately within reasonable time standards.
All weapons and gear will be inspected prior to the start of class.
Equipment Needed
• Well-maintained, operational semi-automatic rifle iron sights and/or optic and sling(optional)
• Minimum of 2 magazines
• Eye and ear protection (electronic preferred)
• Weather-appropriate clothing (no sleeveless shirts, shorts, or open-toe shoes)
• Weapon cleaning equipment
• 350 rounds of ammunition specific to your weapon
